"My philosophy of health and well-being is rooted in Taoist philosophy. Given the right environment, everything will move towards balance - this includes energy (if that word is too woo hoo then ignore it and think about science – in chemistry all particles will try to find a balance and equilibrium).

Our internal environment can become less than optimal through the journey of life and our reactions to it."

ETHOS

"I see my work – either in teaching Chi Kung or facilitating Equine Therapy, as supporting people to find their own version of whole again, and allow a sense of balance and flow back into their lives and bodies.

When we hold ourselves in any state of emotion, thought pattern, physical tension or posture, or even spiritual crisis we create a block in our flow of life.  Allowing such blocks to shift is what allows Chi, or energy or our chemistry to constantly flow into balance, allowing us to flow more easily through through our body and also through life thus getting stuck less often."
"I see my work as supporting people to find their own version of whole again, allowing a sense of balance flow back into their lives"

EQUINE FACILITATED THERAPY

After arriving in the Chichester area in 2009, Lizzie rekindled a childhood love of horses and started having riding lessons.    She soon found that the happiness associated with her new hobby (and childhood love) wasn’t connected to having a horse canter perfect circles or complete a jumping course, but was about how it felt just to be around horses
With this realisation, Lizzie left the traditional riding route, taking her 3 (now ex) riding school horses with her!  On this new path, she has explored various types of natural horsemanship and horse philosophies.  In 2015 she became a fully qualified Equine Shiatsu therapist

This course of inquiry led her to IFEEL (Institute For Equine Assisted Learning) where she has studied and qualified as an Equine Facilitated Human Development practitioner.

"Nothing has felt this right since I discovered Shiatsu – it is an incredibly profound way of working that really fascinates me”.
PictureThe aim of a SHIATSU session is to allow the chi or energy to flow more evenly through the body

SHIATSU and CHI KUNG

Lizzie discovered both SHIATSU and CHI KUNG by chance in the early 1990s. She had returned from traveling in India and was lacking direction, when someone pulled out of a Shiatsu foundation course and offered her a free place. “I was hooked immediately, I loved the solid relaxed grounded feel to it, the stretches, the breathing – it felt like what I was meant to do.”

She went on to train and to practise and eventually to teach and has never stopped learning and adding to her skills, which include a number of post graduate Shiatsu, Sports Massage and Reiki diplomas. She has worked in addiction services, private practise, care homes, on beaches, at festivals and in clinics
A long way from her urban beginnings, the girl from North London is currently living in a beautiful house in West Sussex, with her two teenage daughters, one very large dog, a cat, 3 horses and a lot of rescue chickens!
